The centre was opened in 1979 with the aim of breeding the endangered Rothschild’s Giraffe. It is 5 kilometers from Nairobi’s central business district. Guests are allowed to feed the giraffes. Open daily from 9:00am – 5:00pm.

The word boma is a Kiswahili word meaning homestead. The Bomas of Kenya displays traditional homesteads of the major tribes of Kenya. There is also a magnificent hall built to look like a giant hut where one can watch traditional dances and acrobatic shows.
This world famous elephant orphanage is located in one area of the Nairobi National Park. It opens daily for one hour only. Between 11 am – 12noon daily.
The orphanage takes care of baby animals that have lost their parents in the wild until they reach maturity and are released back into the wild.
The Nairobi Safari Walk is Kenya's newest conservation-based recreation facility. The combination of skilled and creative landscape design, unique wildlife species and detailed interpretation, renders the facility supreme in tourism and conservation education.
Nairobi National Park is a unique ecosystem, being the only protected area in the world close to a capital city. It is located 30 minutes from the hotel and only 7km away from CBD. Four of the Big Five are regularly spotted there.
The famed Maasai Market is a moving market, situated in different locations on different days. Within the city it is present at the parking lot of the High Court every Saturday and Sunday. Like the City Market it displays a variety of trinkets and souvenirs for purchase.
The market with its maze of high and low stalls, selling everything from fruits to fish, is famed for its various curios and artefacts of all shapes and sizes.
The museum is located in the Westlands area, about a 5-minute drive from the hotel. It offers a rich display of Kenya’s cultural heritage, archaeological treasures, and rich wildlife.
It is open daily from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Kenya shillings and US dollars are accepted. Other smaller museums can be found within the city center namely: The National Archives and the Nairobi Gallery.
